A tall, gray-brown, slightly bent single stem, sprawling green palm fronds, and, of course, coconuts distinguish the coconut palm plant (Cocos nucifera). It also enjoys a lot of heat, sunlight, and humidity. For an indoor palm, this can be challenging but not impossible to duplicate.
The palm grows at a modest rate. Outside, it takes 15 to 20 years to grow and attain peak coconut output, and it can survive for decades longer. These palms are usually short-lived, tiny, and don’t yield fruit when grown inside. It is possible to grow them at any time of year.
